Melton Veterinary Surgery is a RCVS accredited Tier 2 practice

The RCVS Practice Standards Scheme (PSS) is a voluntary initiative to accredit veterinary practices in the UK.  Through setting standards and carrying out regular inspections, the Scheme aims to promote and maintain the highest standards of veterinary care.

To become accredited, we volunteer for a rigorous inspection every four years and have to meet a range of standards including:
Health and safety
Hygiene and maintenance
Client communication
Staff education and Continued Professional Development
24-hour emergency cover
Cost estimation procedures
Monitoring and reviewing treatments and procedures

We are also subject to spot-checks between inspections.

We believe that membership of this scheme offers further reassurance to our clients that the service we offer is of the highest standard, both in the consult room and behind the scenes.
